  1. Hi!

    Ooooooh WOW!!!!
Every single one of you wheels are a piece of Art!!!! And I soooo want one…!
So really my question is how much are they?
Just an approximate price, so I know what to save up to.

I’m a spinner living in Gothenburg Sweden.

    Sincerely
    //Monie Szabó

    Sincerely

    • Hi Monie, Thank you very much for your interest! I would love to build you a wheel and make it exactly like you want. A basic wheel starts at $950 but most spinners choose more elaborate wheels with exotic wood and carving. These run from $1300 to $1600. We take a deposit and your name goes on our work list at that time. If you have other questions or comments, please feel free to contact us. Thanks again, Gary

how far out is the waiting list
and roughly how long to make a wheel

    • Feel free to write to me at my e-mail address for details but the short answer is I’m busy with new projects through April and it takes about three weeks to build a wheel. Thanks for your interest!

Since the above posts are not dated it is hard to know how long the wait list is based on the reply that you are committed through April??? I am a retired art teacher and think these are absolutely the most beautiful pieces of art I have ever seen. I tend to prefer a taller upright wheel. Your wheels seem to have a low profile is this the same on all your wheels? How much of a deposit do you require? This is the top of my bucket list to own one of your creations <3
        Michele

  3. Your wheels are so creative and beautiful! How do I go about commissioning one for myself? I am interested in a custom huacaya alpaca wheel.

Your wheels are beautiful. I just saw a dragon wheel but was told you aren’t taking orders anymore is this true?

    • Hi Patti, Thank you for the comment! I did mention on a couple of posts that I wasn’t taking orders as of the end of February. Seems like some spinners missed those posts. The main reason I decided not to collect more orders is that my waiting list is about two years now. I feel that it isn’t fair to spinners to keep them waiting for me this long. But since then I have proven to be a bit of a softy when I hear that someone just didn’t get the message. I will consider new orders with the understanding that there will be a long wait. If you want to discuss this with me, please write to me at olympic.wheelmaker@gmail.com . Thanks again!

Greetings! I am wondering if you are accepting commissioned work at this time? Do you have base pricing available?

    • Thanks for your interest! Officially I closed down the commission list as it was getting pretty long. Since then a few spinners have asked me to put their names on the list. I hate to disappoint any one and if a spinner is willing to wait a bit more than two years, I will go ahead and take a deposit and make it official. The prices depend on the level of art and wood choices. No one seems to want a plain wheel from me. Most of my wheels sell for around $2500. If you are seriously interested, contact me via my email . My address is:

      Thanks!

    Hi,

I’ve been admiring your work for over a year now. I am considering a custom order but have a few questions. I was wondering if I could get a price range and the sizing to know how much to save for. Also, I was wondering about how heavy the final product generally is. For example, is it a wheel that I can reasonably carry around at spinning guild.

    Thank you for your time.

    Hi Garry,
I’m in Australia, so I’m wondering if you would make one of your gorgeous wheels for me and ship it to Australia? and if so could you give me any idea of first the waiting list time and the freight cost at all?

    Regards Vickii

    • Hi Vickii, Thank you for your interest. Sending a wheel to Australia is tricky. I will contact you thru your email address with a bit more info.

How do I submit an order request?

  11. Hello, I heard about your wheels from Kim (Sweet William) and am in awe. Also sorry to read that you’ve closed your waitlist. I love your model #50! Did you take any pictures of the finished wheel?
The artistry is a joy to see!

  12. Hey, since so many years I try to contact you, but until now I got no answer. Tell me – is it possible to build a wheel for me? I love all of them so much! Of course I can wait if you have to much to do – but please – Don’t say no… I am a great Ireland Fan and would love to get a wheel from you in irish Style. Greetings from Germany Elke
